Mix Glycerin USP 50/50 with alcohol-free Witch Hazel. Witch Hazel is a natural anti-inflammatory and very soothing. Glycerin will add moisture to your scalp or skin.
Many drug stores do NOT carry Alcohol-Free WH, but most Whole Foods and similar stores carry it.

Method: Sterilize all of your equipment and jars by putting it all in a big pot of boiling water then draining. It’s not vital that you do this, but it will help ward off bacterial growth…possibly extending the life of your lotionIn a glass bowl, slowly Mix (w/ electric mixer) Glycerin USP 50/50 with alcohol-free Witch Hazel. (Similar method as we do homemade mayonnaise) slowly adding while mixing Witch hazel (non-alcohol) solution *You can use regular glass jars and keep refrigerated if you make extra, it will be natural no preservatives, no color.
